​A bold, practical Detroiter wakes from a coma to find he can see ghosts and that strange, magical forces lurk around every corner. He joins forces with a group of novice witches to help rid him of magic’s disruptive influence before it’s too late.​​​

SERIES OVERVIEW

On the road to recovery from an unfortunate drowning incident, Demetrius Vonne finds it impossible to return to the soft, upper echelon life he had when his powers began to surface. In a matter of days he learns that he is a witch with a magical energy called Aether as well as a sensitive being called a Spector which can see, communicate and manipulate the dead. Demetrius is terribly reluctant in the beginning to embrace his newfound magical lineage, but as the threat of demon attacks and enemy covens ramps up he finds himself constantly seeking out the help of Julius, Yvonne, Elyria and Simone — novice witches each representative of a natural element. Demetrius must face his fears and repressed guilt in order to protect his loved ones and survive. The independent innovator Yvonne boosts the magical potential of the coven as she learns to combine her natural Aether with the scientific innovations of the modern world.
